Social Programme and Accompanying events

 

1. Opening Ceremony

The conference will start on Friday, October 25 at 09:00 am with a short Opening Ceremony followed by the first plenary lecture.

The Registration Desk will be open already on Thursday, October 24 from 5:00 pm at the conference venue. A Welcome Buffet will be offered from 5:00 till 7:00 pm.

2. Conference Dinner

The Conference Dinner is being held on the evening of Friday 25 October, from 6:30pm. It costs 20 EUR per person and features a delicious seated dinner with traditional Polish cuiusine.

The Conference Dinner is a fantastic way to spend your Friday evening and great opportunity to meet other participants.

The conference dinner will take place in the „Opera“ restaurant in Szczecin, located in the beautiful Pomeranian Dukes' Castle, one of the main centres of cultural life in the Western Pomerania.

3. Exhibition of photographs by Włodzimierz Puchalski

During all conference-days the exhibition of outstanding Polish wildlife photographer, Włodzimierz Puchalski (1909-1979), will be open for all participants. In many of his works, Włodzimierz Puchalski has been preserved unique scenes from the life of Polish representatives of the Mustelidae family, including rare and endangered species, like European mink and steppe polecat. The exhibition will be an excellent opportunity to become acquainted with the work of Włodzimierz Puchalski, while admiring the beautiful weasel-fauna of Poland.

The exhibition was made available courtesy of the Niepołomickie Museum (Muzeum Niepołomickie Zamek Królewski w Niepołomicach).

 

4. Screening of nature films by Włodzimierz Puchalski 

Włodzimierz Puchalski's work includes, in addition to nature photographs, dozens of wildlife films, the award-winning of many national and international festivals.

Screening of four films about weasels will be held on 24th and 26th October. More information will be available later.
